Here is the first one:

유머는 다큐로 받아서 심각하게 팔아대고 U take humor as documentary then sell it as serious (matter)

진심은 예능으로 받아서 우습게 팔아버린다. and sell true heart as comedy (fun)..

그나마도 팔리니 다행인건가. Sure I happy about it because at least it can still sell?

뼈는 없고 껍데기만 너덜거린다. There’s no bone, only empty shell (skin) is worn

겉만 핥다가 진짜를 보는 법을 잊어버린건가. You forget how to look at real (truth) while you look at skin deep?

Ah In did a couple tweets today~ First one was to wish his manager a happy birthday~ And the second one was a poem~ Thanks to our sweet Stacy nim, below are her translations of the poem that Ah In tweeted~

Our lovely Stacy nim is back again!!  She translated what Ah In tweeted on the 12th~ Thank you, Stacy nim!!  So good to see you!! ^ ^

My friend, the little birdie who whispers in my ears, was kind enough to translate Ah In’s tweets for me~ Here are her translations:

“Not doing even knowing what to do is worse than knowing nothing.  For the youth who are growing up from childish act, getting old and mature doesn’t mean broadening their horizons and being knowledgeable but narrowing the gap between knowledge, introspection, soul and body and thought and action.”

Ah In’s Chuseok Tweet And Photos

Ah In finally tweeted and shared a couple of photos on Chuseok!  As many of you know, he loves playing with words~ And, he did that again today!  Thanks to a little birdie who whispers in my ears, after a long discussion, here is the translation of Ah In’s tweet~

“In the Chuseok morning, at Myeong Dong, listening to the song “명동콜링” and wearing “시그니처” the jean shirt, Happy New Year (Chuseok) even if it’s not the New Year’s Day.”

Note: The song ”명동콜링” is sung by a Korean band called “Crying Nuts” and the “시그니처” is a brand name created by Levi’s Jean which is a “signature casual wear”~

Ah In’s Mini-hompy Post on 9/9/2011

Hi Haveners~

Some of you may know that Ah In recently posted a poem at his mini-hompy~ It is a poem titled “I Love You” written by a famous Korean poet, Jung Ho Seung (정호승)~ Thanks to my friend, Kong-yi nim, I got to see the translation of the poem~ After getting her permission, I am now able to share her translation with you here at Haven!

Please keep in mind that the translation is done literally and excuse us for doing so~ As everyone knows, when it comes to poem, it’s very hard to understand, left along translating it~^ ^~

밥그릇을 들고 길을 걷는다

목이 말라 손가락으로 강물 위에

사랑한다라고 쓰고 물을 마신다

갑자기 먹구름이 몰리고

제비꽃이 아파 고개를 숙인다

I’m walking along the road holding a rice bowl.
I’m thirsty, so I’m writing ‘I love you’ with my finger on the river and drinking water.

After rain stops,

Now I’m very glad I’m finally able to post YAI’s latest tweet mention again. Hopefully, there will be no difficulty for you to understand my transcription and catch the point of YAI’s mention~ Thanks for reading my writing in advance~ ^_^*

Anyway, please read his tweet mention first.

Don’t misrepresent (someone’s) affirmation and support on the logic as a vindication or a worship for the speaker. You can go shooting your mouth off just because it’s not your problem but well, let’s see! You could easily speak depreciatingly (of others) and distort (the truth) but (you should remember) the arrow you shot will return against you.

His mention could be considered quite political and aggressive. I’m not actually interested in politics but I’m aware that a lot of people are frequently offensive and degrades others in the general political or social atmosphere. With the development of the Internet and on-line communities, many people continue to thoughtlessly speak depreciatingly of others and distort the truth on the Internet on delicate issues. Our YAI who must be critical-minded about political or social issues warned that their behaviors might boomerang on themselves. So I think he really wanted to say that we should watch what we do and say even in cyber space and shouldn’t throw the arrow which will return against us.

I’m sure you could understand YAI’s tweet message and my interpretation. As I always said, they are just my thoughts and there might be some errors or misinterpretations~ If you have something you’d like to correct in my translations, please feel free to reply and point it out~ ^_^

I don’t know which award ceremony is more authoritative – a ceremony which is enough for one Grand Prize or the other which is not good enough for seven Grand Prizes even if it is a ceremony given by a certain variety show. As a matter of fact, I’ve been so busy working in my real world~ TAT; I’m afraid I couldn’t spend much time translating YAI’s articles and vids~ However, I couldn’t help trying to invest my time to translate and interpret YAI’s thoughts ’cause his unique tweet mentions finally popped out! ^ ^ In addition, I have to say I’d like to REALLY appreciate another K-fan, @sophia0s nim’s quick translations~ Her translations are pretty good~ She also gave her consent to be another K-translator for you haveners!! Yay~~ ^ ^ And then, I’m posting @sophia0s nim’s translations now in celebration of her acceptance to be a translator for you haveners~ ^ ^

Anyway~ here are YAI’s tweet mentions and translations~ ^ ^

According to his messages, I think, he seems to be really introspective while writing them down. We could also recognize his whole attitude to life. Although he’s still young, he’s confessing that he’s lived so fiercely throughout his entire life. Everyone knows few things can affect our whole quality of life as strongly as our attitude can. And YAI has a reputation as someone who has a strong ego and gives it his best shot to live fiercely. Furthermore, he shows his strong attachment to life through his messages. He felt so regretful over his vanishing youth that he should say he’s often being pathetic. But I don’t think he would have many regrets about his whole life as long as he lives with strong convictions about being honest to himself and works professionally. I surely think he can achieve anything he wants the moment he has a strong faith in himself as well. A few things we can do while watching the introspective guy are just that we send messages of support with all our hearts and hope that he is not losing his beliefs and convictions not only as an actor but also as an individual.
